SPEECH TEAM AUDITIONS!!!

Here you will find all necessary information regarding Speech Team auditions. If you have never been on the Speech Team, you MUST audition. Or, if you are returning but plan on performing a new event, you MUST audition (for example, you competed in Extemp last year but want to try OC this year - we need to SEE it before we will put you in a brand new event!).

Audition Form

Please click on the Audition Form button and fill out the Google Form if you are planning to audition.

Audition Material

Click on the Audition Material button to find a wide range of literature and speech excepts for auditions. It is in your best interested to prepare at least two. Also, know that you are NOT expected to memorize the material, but definitely be familiar (it is an audition!).

Speech Events

Click on the Speech Events button to read a brief summary of the 14 different events available in IHSA Speech. This will help you decide which event you might be interested in, and help you narrow down with Audition Material selection process (for example, dramatic monologue for Dramatic Interp, Humorous Excerpt for Special Occasion Speaking, etc.).
